I just wrapped up a fantastic week guiding the director and patrons of the UK National Army Museum around key battlefields of the American War of Independence. After a day at Lexington and Concord, we traced Burgoyne’s 1777 campaign down Lake Champlain and the Hudson River before continuing on to other significant sites, including West Point, Fort Montgomery, and Princeton.
The group was wonderfully engaged throughout, and the personal stories, artifacts, and scenery made for an unforgettable experience. I am especially grateful to the teams at Fort Ticonderoga, Saratoga, and Princeton, whose generosity in sharing their expertise helped bring these historic sites to life.
